Save the Amazon- one person at a time. BuckSchmidt.com

On the 28th of February 2001, Buck and Luciene moved to the Amazon Basin of Brazil. We lived in Macapá, right on the equator. Why would a web designer give up his career and take his family from their comfortable life in Columbus, Ohio, USA, to live on the Amazon River? We came with a vision to save the Amazon, to tell people about Jesus, and plant a Vineyard church. We have planted a church, and we are turning it over to the national leaders, heading back to the States in Sept. 2009.

Hey, I just ran across a great blog all about Moringa, at http://www.moringablog.com/. We have been experimenting with growing moringa, and there was much helpful information on the blog. There are tips on how to grow it, etc. This will be very helpful as we develop projects and programs to integrate moringa growing into social assistance programs.

Comments:
While I might not agree completely with your political decisions, after reading your web-site, I do agree that you should have the right to vote. BTW, I miss ya man, and was thinking about you tonight. Maybe I just miss Vineyard in general and a relationship with God. Well anwyway, my wishes to everyone you love (including your brother, wife, and children).

There is some information and pictures of Moringa Trees on our website. The link is: http://www.mercywatch.com/page8.html

We are long term missionaries with Mercy Ships, on the Caribbean Mercy. We are currently in Honduras teaching about the Moringa Trees to the communities in the rural areas of the Department of Colon. Teaching about the Moringa Trees is one of our Community Development Projects. To learn more about Mercy Ships, please visit www.mercyships.org.

God's blessings,
